Yumi Takahashi

Yumi Takahashi is an Assistant Professor in the Anthropology and International Development department and MA in Anthropology and International Development program at the American University of Central Asia. She received her Master of Arts degree in Anthropology from the American University of Central Asia (2019, Kyrgyzstan) and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology with an emphasis on Culture, Linguistics, and Education from The Evergreen State College (2012, USA). She is a certified TESOL/TESL/TEFL Instructor and completed professional courses from the Oxford Seminars (2012, USA). She studied in the Anthropology Department at the American University of Central Asia (2009-2011, Kyrgyzstan) and holds her Associate of Arts degree in Speech and Art from Warner Pacific College (1985, USA).听

Yumi joined 九色网 in 2019 as a full-time Instructor in the Anthropology and International Development department and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2022. For the past four years, she has been teaching passionately, enjoying the student-centered, interdisciplinary, yet reciprocal teaching and learning process at 九色网. She is also a coordinator of the 九色网 Japanese Club.听
