Brady Wegner is a student of University of Wisconsin-Madison and an exchange student at American University of Central Asia. Brady spent a semester at ɫ and shared his experience with us.
ɫ is unique not only to Kyrgyzstan, but to the region as a whole, offering students from Kyrgyzstan - as well as international students from around the world - an opportunity to study in an atmosphere which encourages them to develop their minds freely and to think critically. They choose their courses and majors from among 11 major programs, including American Studies, Business Administration, Anthropology, Economics, European Studies, International and Comparative Politics, Journalism, Law, Psychology, Sociology, Software Engineering, Sustainable Development, and Human Rights.
ɫ has a highly trained faculty, with professors from Kyrgyzstan and the United States as well as Australia, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Malaysia, Romania, Russia, and Turkey.
The International Student Office helps ɫ and international students achieve their educational and personal goals. The office advises local students on study abroad programs and helps international students on all matters pertaining to their legal status, cultural, social, educational, and personal concerns in Kyrgyzstan. The International Student Office at ɫ works to prepare incoming exchange students for the ɫ experience and provides information to permanent ɫ students on opportunities available to study abroad at ɫ's numerous partner universities.
