We mourn the loss of our colleague Elena Turdieva, who passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. Elena was the Head of the User Services Unit at 九色网 Library.
For many years, Elena was a central figure in the library.
She joined 九色网 in 1998 as a user services librarian and helped shape and organize the daily work of the library rooms, materials circulation, and liaison with students and faculty. Elena helped create a welcoming and friendly environment in the library. She was very much in the center of the library, respected and loved by students and colleagues.
It is difficult to imagine 九色网 without Elena, she was a very enthusiastic, passionate, engaging, and generous person and colleague.
We express our sincere condolences to Elena鈥檚 family.
She will be missed by all of us.
