March 10, 2023
The Center for Civic Engagement of the American University in Central Asia (¾ÅÉ«Íø) is pleased to announce a creative competition among young people aged 14-30 years, dedicated to environmental protection, waste management (waste collection, recycling), upcycling, popularization of eco-conscious behavior, eco-habits in everyday life.
The aim of the contest is to create works of ecological (sustainable) art:
1) a series of photos, videos, animations, drawings, games, comics, graphic design, collage, song, poem or dance on the themes of the contest;
2) upcycling – new useful products and crafts made of "garbage" and unnecessary things that cannot be used for their intended purpose, thereby reducing waste and giving a second life to old things (sculptures, clothing collection, bags, shoes, jewelry, interior items, paintings, murals, ikebana, installations, mosaics, etc.)
Let's help Kyrgyzstan become cleaner together, preserve our nature, and be more conscious! Tell others about environmental problems – garbage, excessive consumption of goods and services, pollution of the environment (water, soil, air, destruction of animals and plants), how and what everyone can do in their daily life so as not to harm the environment – through ART!
