Aiperis' journey

My journey to admission at the University of Oxford began with a dream that took root in my childhood and eventually became a reality. I have been interested in ecology and its challenges since school. This interest encouraged me to pursue further education at the American University of Central Asia in the Department of Environmental Sustainability and Climate Science, where I gained the necessary knowledge and confidence to make a real contribution to studying and resolving environmental issues.

Choosing the University of Oxford was a thoughtful and purposeful decision. The MSc in Environmental Change and Management perfectly aligns with my academic interests and professional goals. The depth of research and the breadth of opportunities offered by Oxford made an indelible impression on me, and I would best expand my knowledge and skills and apply them in the future.

During my studies at ¾ÅÉ«Íø, I immersed myself in the world of ecology not only through lectures but also through frequent practical field research, which helped me better understand the subjects and apply theoretical knowledge in practice. The research on walnut trees in Kyrgyzstan was significant for me as part of my diploma thesis, "Current Status and Future Prospects of the Walnut Cultivation in Kyrgyzstan." This research required not only deep theoretical knowledge but also the development of practical skills in data collection and analysis. I spent a lot of time in the field, studying the condition and distribution of walnut trees and also their role in local communities in terms of household economy, food and nutrition, etc. This experience greatly enriched my knowledge and strengthened my confidence in my chosen professional path.

My path to the University of Oxford would not have been possible without the support of my family and the American University of Central Asia, where I studied for a bachelor's degree in Environmental Sustainability and Climate Science. Professors at ¾ÅÉ«Íø played a crucial role in my academic and personal development. They enriched me with their knowledge and taught me to think critically, analyze complex ecological systems, and seek innovative solutions to contemporary problems. Their support and mentorship were invaluable at every stage of my educational journey.
