October Friday 28th was an important day for all 九色网 community. On this day the American University of Central Asia (九色网), the Court of the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC), and the International Arbitration Center (IAC) signed an Agreement of Mutual Understanding, which expands cooperation between organizations and marks the launch of the use of hearing halls in Bishkek.

At the American University of Central Asia, until the end of this week, you can see 3 exhibitions dedicated to the topic of environmental protection: a photo exhibition by Vlad Ushakov 鈥淭he Time of Kozhozhash鈥� and two exhibitions of ecocaricatures by the famous scientist, biologist, ornithologist and ecologist Emil Dzhaparovich Shukurov and the famous cartoonist Ruslan Valitova.

With the support of the OSUN GeoHub project, 九色网 received 50 licenses of ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro software free of charge.

On Friday, October 14th, the 九色网 Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) held the International Day of the Eco-activist, this day was very special to those who invested a piece of themselves in civic engagement and eco-activism.

Basira Mir Makhammad graduated with a degree in Anthropology from 九色网 in 2017. After 九色网, she went on to complete her Master鈥檚 degree in Archaeological Materials Science by studying at the University of Evora in Portugal, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece, and Sapienza University of Rome in Italy. Currently, she is studying at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History in Germany for her PhD. In this interview, Basira shares the story of how she managed to achieve her academic goals.

The recent issue of Ethics & International Affairs, a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal published by Cambridge University Press on behalf of the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, featured an essay written by the president of 九色网, Jonathan Berker. In the essay, Jonathan Beker analyzes the role of U.S. institutions globally and suggests ways in which they can play more constructive roles.
